Guo wins women's singles at ITTF Pro Tour Finals

China reaped its third gold medal when 16-year-old Guo Yue dethroned teammate Niu Jianfeng 4-2 in the women's singles final at the ITTF Pro Tour finals here on Sunday.

Chinese number four Guo held off a late charge from Niu to win her title 11-8, 12-10, 11-3, 12-14, 16-14 and 11-8.

After lagging behind three sets, second-ranked Niu managed to pull back two close sets before Guo sealed the match by winning the sixth set 11-8.
