A fishing boat sank at the sea waters offshore Sai Kung in the eastern part of Hong Kong, leavingthree people missing.
A spokeswoman for the press office of Hong Kong Special Administrative Regional government said in a telephone interview with Xinhua that the government's fire control and flying service departments have sent vessels and helicopters for searching the missing people.
The marine searching work has been continuing, she said. However, she added, only the sunken boat has been found and the three missing people have not been found yet.
The boat sank at about 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, local radios reported.
