China dissatisfied with Canadian trade ruling
font size

China says it is dissatisfied with Canadian trade authorities for accusing China-made fasteners of being unfairly subsidized without carrying out an investigation into the market damage.

An official with China's Ministry of Commerce said Canada accused the Chinese government of subsidizing exported screws and nuts by 1.25 yuan or 0.15 US dollar per kilo.

The official added China will discuss damages Chinese businesses suffer with Canada.

Since the beginning of last year till the end of March this year, China exported over 9 million US dollars worth of fasteners to Canada.
