The Latin America Committee of European Council has called for an end to the European Union's diplomatic sanctions against Cuba.
The committee proposes to stop inviting Cuban dissidents to EU member states' embassies in Cuba and resume high-level exchanges and cultural activities between EU and Cuba.
Meanwhile, the committee also calls for continuous dialogues with Cuban oppositions.
These proposals will be discussed at the EU foreign ministers' meeting next January.
EU imposed a series of diplomatic sanctions against Cuba in June last year after the Cuban government executed three Cuban people who sought to flee to the US by hijacking a ferryboat. Cuba also imposed heavy penalties on 75 political criminals.
