Giant pandas face food shortages
font size

China's giant pandas in the nature reserves in southwest China's Sichuan Province are facing food shortages because a lot of the bamboo in the area has blossomed and died.

Statistics show all the bamboos at the altitude of 2800 meters and above have blossomed and died.

It has been revealed that the food shortage is becoming increasingly more severe because the bamboo growing in lower altitudes is also blossoming.

At present, the pandas can only find food in the lower altitude areas, but this food supply is becoming severely depleted.
