Japan to issue visa for Lee Teng-hui

Japanese government decided Thursday to issue a visa to Lee Teng-hui by the end of the year, Kyodo News reported.

The move would allow Lee Teng-hui, who has always been a pioneer for "Taiwan independence", to visit Japan for the first time since 2001.
