ERP program helps CNOOC gain competitiveness
font size

The China National Offshore Oil Corp has started its ERP program by signing an ERP service agreement with the SAP, the world's leading business solution and ERP software provider. The singing of the agreement signifies the CNOOC takes a new step towards construction of Informatization.

At the beginning of this year, the CNOOC set a strategic goal "to build a comprehensive energy corporation with international competitiveness by 2008 through relatively rapid growth, strong profit-making ability and good quality of development". This June, the corp made arrangement for its Informatization construction by issuing a guideline for Informatization work. The first step is to design and build an ERP system for the corp. By using the system, the corp will be able to strengthen control of budgets and overall management of budget.
