font size

Metro, a German retail giant, has opened a new outlet in Nanchang, capital of east China's Jiangxi Province, or its 23rd outlet in China, following China's announcement of the full opening of its retail sector.

Jean-Luc Tuzes, president of Metro China, vowed that more than 40 outlets will be opened in the country in the coming three to five years.

The Metro-Nanchang Qingshanhu department store that started business on Thursday has had 73,000 institutional clients, who have shown great purchase potential, said Tuzes.

As one of the world's biggest retail giants, Metro has opened more than 500 outlets in 28 countries.
