China hopes diplomatic envoys boost international broadcasting media cooperationChina hopes diplomatic envoys can help Chinese broadcasting media cooperate with their international counter parts, said an official with the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television on Wednesday. Radio, film and TV play an active role in the friendly relations between China and other countries and in helping the peoples understand Chinese culture. The administration would like to continue developing relations with the world's broadcasting media with the help and support of diplomatic envoys in China, said deputy director general Zhao Shi at the New Year's Film Reception held in the administration. The reception provided foreign diplomatic envoys an opportunity to learn more about the Chinese culture and the broadcasting industry and to communicate with the administration, said Stelios Korkidis, press counsellor with the Greek Embassy in China. About 130 ambassadors, cultural counsellors and representatives of international media companies from 40 countries attended the reception. The guests also watched a Chinese mainland film called "Kekexili," also called "Hoh Xil: Mountain Patrol," and talked with the director and actors. The film recently won the best picture and best cinematography awards at the Golden Horse Film Awards in Taiwan. Source: Xinhua |
