Foreign trade of E. China province values over 3 billion US dollars this year

Foreign trade of east China's Jiangxi Province valued more than 3 billion US dollars during the first 11 months of this year, said the local customs sources.

According to the figures released by Nanchang Customs Office, foreign trade of Jiangxi reached 3.146 billion US dollars, a 40-percent increase over the same period of last year.

Private and foreign-funded businesses contributed 46.5 percent of the export, totaling 826 million US dollars. State-owned enterprises saw a drop of 4.8 percent in its export, totaling 919 million US dollars.

Imports of mechanical and electrical products valued 540 million US dollars, an increase of 53.4 percent over the same period of last year.

Meanwhile, imports of copper and iron ores increased by 63.1 percent and 332.5 percent respectively.
