China signs major IT contract with the US

China Communication Company, a communications specialist providing network television and systems for bank payments, has signed a 100-million-US-dollar cooperation agreement with the A-T-M Industry Association and US company V-P-N.

Analysts say this is another important cooperation agreement between China and the US in the information industry. Under the agreement, the US company will provide China Communications with technical support in network security.

A China Communications official said the firm will be able to enjoy pioneering technology in communications and raise its operational efficiency.

The A-T-M Industry Association is a global non-profit organization made up of members including A-T-M manufacturers and system providers.
