World number one Lin Dan and teammates Bao Chunlai and Chen Hong secured their places at the semi-finals after straight wins over their opponents at the quarterfinas on Friday. Bao Chunlai got the first spot in the semifinals after an easy 15-5, 15-2 win over host player Sony Dwi Kuncoro. Chen Hong trashed the battling Lee 15-11, 15-9 to secure a berth in the semis, where he will face compatriot Bao Chunlai on Saturday. Host player Taufik Hidayat secured the last spot in semifinals after ending Malaysia's last hope Hafiz Hashim 15-12, 15-7.
