Internet game investment hits 7 bln yuan
font size

The elites of China's PC game designers have predicted that investment in the Chinese Internet games industry will reach seven billion yuan, or 800 million US dollars next year.

Senior-level administrators and professors estimate there are almost 20 million Internet game players in China, which means China still has a large untapped Internet game market.

At the end of this year, investment in the industry is predicted to reach 3.6 billion yuan.

Domestic PC games only take one percent of market share so, last month, China launched the 'Project of Chinese Domestic Internet Games'.

The project aims to invest 300 million yuan to develop and publish a hundred well-designed national PC games in five years.
