China's State Council appointed several ministerial officials recently, following a series reshuffle of several top provincial posts a week ago.

Wang Taihua, born in 1945, becomes the director of the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT), leaving his former post as the secretary of the CPC Anhui Provincial Committee.

Liu Peng was appointed as director of the State General Administration of Sport to replace Yuan Weimin.

Chen Jianmin, replacing Song Ruixiang, was assigned as the director of the China Seismological Bureau.
