10 best and worst board of directors
font size

A chart for voting the best and worst board of directors has recently been launched to promote better corporate governance of market-listed companies in China.

Sponsored by the Board of Directors magazine and China's Board of Director Website, the rating is based on analysis by third-party professional research institute.

With scandals in big listed companies such as Skyworth and China Aviation Oil being exposed, corporate governance is a hot topic in the business sector.

The best board of directors includes Sinochem International and TCL Group for their compliance with laws and respect for small shareholder's interests.

Meanwhile, the board of directors in companies like Yili Group and Hunan Torch A are listed in the 10 worst candidates for their irregularities on misappropriating company funds and an absence of independent directors.

"Board of Directors" is a newly established magazine on corporate governance. Its chief editor Dr. Zeng Huaguo said his magazine will monitor changes in Chinese and world companies and provide ideas on how to improve China's corporate governance capacity.
