Private companies boom in Henan

New private companies boomed in central China's Henan Province from January through November, about 77 percent more than the same period last year, according tothe figures from Henan Provincial Industry and Commerce Bureau.

The province now has more than 103,000 private companies with 100.68 billion yuan (12.13 billion US dollars) of registered capital, according to the bureau.

Private companies here have been increasing not only in number,but also in size. The province now has 34 private companies with more than 100 million yuan (12.05 million US dollars) of registered capital, up 48 percent from the same period last year.

Booming private companies are providing more jobs for the society. More than 89,000 laid-off workers had been re-employed inprivate sectors in the past eleven months, about 20 percent of thetotal workers re-employed in the province during the January-November period.
