Shooting guard Liu Yong returned from a knee injury to score 24 points for Beijing Ducks'103-88 victory over the Xinjiang Flying Tigers in a Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league match in Beijing on December 22.
Liu, who played as a reserved guard for his first game this season, shot 3-out-of-4 from behind arc in 27 minutes.
"I's never expected him to play so well in his first game of the season after I saw how he suffered from the injury," said Beijing head coach Min Lulei.
Point guard Zhang Yunsong also returned from fever after missing two games with 15 points.
The Ducks were led again by American center Oyedeji Olumide's 34 points and 21 rebounds.
Veteran forward Wang Sheng led Xinjiang with 28 points.
Xinjiang drops to the fifth place in the Northern Division after two consecutive losses on the road to the Shandong Flaming Bulls, which were placed fourth and Beijing, who was third.
