Mongolian President Natsagyn Bagabandi left Pyongyang on Wednesday after wrapping up his two-day official visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
During Bagabandi's visit, the two governments signed agreements on trade and on the creation of an Inter-governmental Economic, Trade, Scientific and Technological Consultative Committee.
Bagabandi on Tuesday had talks with Kim Yong-nam, president of the Presidium and of the DPRK's Supreme People's Assembly and on Wednesday with Pak Pong Ju, Premier of the DPRK's Cabinet during which they exchanged views on bilateral ties and regional issues.
The Mongolian president said: "The denuclearization, peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula are in the interest of the region and the world. The Korean nuclear issue should be settled through peaceful negotiations."
Ministers of foreign affairs, trade, agriculture and culture from the two nations also held talks on matters of common interest.
Bagabandi's visit came in the wake of the DPRK re-opening its embassy in the Mongolian capital of Ulan Bator on Aug. 6 after five years of closure.
Former Mongolian Prime Minister Nambarrin Enkhbayar visited theDPRK last year during which the two countries signed agreements oninvestment and taxation.
