The latest round of the Chinese Basketball Association has ended as Jiangsu clinched its 16th win in a row by beating defending champions Guangdong 102-96.

The Jiangsu side plundered an away 108-96 victory over the rival in their first clash of the season. And led by veteran Hu Weidong, they also left no chance for opponents.

The home Jiangsu team trailed in the second quarter with 15 points, but Wu Weidong's three-pointers made the difference, levelling the score at 60-60.

The score stood at 84-83 in the last quarter, but the home side extended their lead and locked the final score at 102-96.

On other courts Bayi beat Liaoning, Jilin nailed Zhejiang and Shandong overcame Shaanxi.

In the South Conference, Jiangsu stand in first place, while Liaoning tops of the North despite its loss to Bayi.
