Chinese people optimistic to macro-economyA latest survey shows that the majority of the Chinese are confident on the prospect of the country's macro-economy. It is a consensus among most respondents under the survey that the national economy is on the right track. They hold a more positive attitude toward the macro-economic environment than the micro-economic environment. The evaluation system is made up of nine indices. The survey has found people have the highest confidence on the government's leadership and outlook of the sci-tech development. That is followed by the country's role in the world, expected benefits of trade globalization, development of the national economy, and expected benefits of deepening reform. But people are not as satisfied with the public security and prices fluctuation as with the above indices. They gave marks to the two indicators even lower than last year. The survey shows that the public believe the future of the country's macro-economy would be much brighter than the present situation. The survey was conducted by Horizon Research, a leading Chinese consultancy. By People's Daily Online
