Senior CPC official calls for closer ties with Mongolian political parties

The Communist Party of China (CPC) is ready to strengthen its friendly exchanges and cooperation with all political parties of Mongolia, including the Citizens Will-Republican Party, a senior CPC official said in Beijing Thursday.

Li Changchun, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks during his meeting with S. Oyun, chairwoman of the Citizens Will-Republican Party and vice-chairwoman of Great Hural of Mongolia.

Li said in recent years, bilateral exchanges and cooperation in all areas have been growing continuously due to the joint efforts of the two countries. He said the successful exchange of visits by the heads of state of the two countries has strongly pushed forward the development of Sino-Mongolian good neighborly partnership of mutual trust.

He said China will continue to pursue a policy of being a good friend and partner with its neighbors and is ready to further promote the long-term, stable and healthy relations with Mongolia, Li stressed.

Oyun said both the Citizens Will-Republican Party and the government of Mongolia are willing to expand long-term, stable, good-neighborly, friendly and cooperative relations with the CPC and the Chinese government.

She said the Citizens Will-Republican Party will firmly adhere to the one-China policy, adding that her party desires to join efforts with the CPC to push forward Mongolia-China cooperation in all fields.
