Ear reconstruction surgery

Shenzhen's Information Times reports that two six-year-old boys born with unformed ears have been given new ears after the transplant of tissue and cartilage from other parts of their bodies.

Statistics show that one in every 5,000 people are born with deformed ears, sixty percent of whom have no right ear and around 30 percent with no left one.

But it's very rare for both to be missing.
