Hong Kong Secretary for Security Ambrose Lee said Monday that 18 Hong Kong tourists are receiving treatment in hospitals in southern Thailand's resort of Phuket and there is report of missing of Hong Kong tourists.

However, there is no report of death of Hong Kong tourists, he said at a press conference Monday afternoon in HK. Lee said Hong Kong tourist services have arranged the return journeys for over 1,200 tourists in Phuket and the Hong Kong residents will return to Hong Kong in batches.

In a latest development, a government spokesman said that two more immigration officers have been deployed to Phuket to assist the verification of identity and facilitate the safe return of Hong Kong residents affected by the quake-triggered tsunamis hitting Phuket.

Hong Kong Immigration Department already sent two officers to Phuket, Thailand, Monday morning to visit and assist the affected Hong Kong citizens.
