Chinese airline delivers relief goods to tsunami-hit countriesThe China Southern Airline dispatches two Boeing 747-400F planes to ship emergency relief goods to tsunami-ravaged countries in south and southeast Asia. Since several south and southeast Asian nations were tremored by a massive earthquake and ensuing tsunami tidal waves on Dec. 26,the Chinese government has collected 150 tons of emergency relief goods from Nanjing in east China's Jiangsu Province and Xi'an in northwestern Shaanxi Province and other cities. They have been and will be sent to Sri Lanka and Indonesia respectively. A China Southern Airline plane laden with the first batch of 100-ton relief goods, including carpets, cotton blankets, medicine and related materials, took off from Beijing airport Tuesday afternoon for Sri Lanka.
