The stock issuance examinationcommittee of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) wasreshuffled Thursday, with nine old members surviving and 16 othersnewly elected.
At the founding ceremony of the seventh stock issuanceexamination committee, CSRC Chairman Shang Fulin urged members tomake the committee a fair, clean and efficient one. The names of committee members have been public since 2003,according to Yao Gang, an assistant to the CSRC chairman. Over thepast year, the committee has improved the efficiency and qualityof its work "remarkably," he said.
The sixth committee held 58 meetings, checked 177 candidatecompanies, and approved 119 firms to go public, according to theofficial.
