State leaders attend New Year Beijing Opera Evening

Chinese state leaders Hu Jintao, Jiang Zemin, Wu Bangguo, Jia Qinglin, Zeng Qinghong, Wu Guanzheng, Li Changchun and Luo Gan attended a Beijing Opera party on December 30 in the evening, to celebrate the coming New Year.

Almost 1,000 people watched opera performances, which were stage at the Zhongnanhai compound, where the headquarters of the Communist Party of China and the State Council are located.

The party was co-sponsored by four central Party and government departments.
