Hu: China strives to resolve Taiwan issue peacefully
Chinese President Hu Jintao speak at a New Year party held by the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference January 1, 2005. Hu said China will strive to resolve the Taiwan issue peacefully with the greatest sincerity and utmost efforts, but will not allow allow anyone or any force to separate Taiwan from China by any means.
