Shanghai Port's throughput surpasses Rotterdam Port
The throughput of China's largest port-Shanghai Port has reached 382 million tons in 2004, which makes the Shanghai Port exceed the Rotterdam Port of the Netherlands, the world No.1 for many years, for the first time. The container throughput has risen 29 percent as against 2003 to 14.55 million, ranking the third in the world.
