An aftershock measuring 5.7 Richter rocked parts of Indonesia's tsunami-hit Aceh province at 1:50 a.m. local time on Wednesday, media reported.
There was no report of casualty caused by the tremor, of which epicenter was located 130 km southwest of Banda Aceh, the capital of the province, the chief of the central meteorology and geophysics' earthquake and tsunami survey team, Masturjono said.
The aftershock did not spark panic among residents in the tsunami-devastated province, the Antara news agency said.
At least nine aftershocks jolted the province from Jan. 4 to Jan. 5, according to data from the local meteorology and geophysics agency.
