PBEC to hold 38th international general meeting in HK

The Pacific Basin Economic Council (PBEC) announced Thursday to hold its 38th International General Meeting (IGM) in June in Hong Kong.

Supachai Panitchpakdi, Director General of WTO, will come to the IGM, together with some 500 leaders from the twenty economies of PBEC, top CEOs and business leaders.

This IGM is titled "The Pacific Basin: Setting the Pace for the Global Economy." This conference will include several keynote speeches, on topics such as Challenges for the Global Economy; Future of WTO; Terrorism as a Global Threat and Latest Developments of Japan and Latin America.

PBEC, set up in 1967 and headquartered in Hong Kong, is the region's oldest international business organization, representing 1,000 companies in 20 economies throughout the Pacific region.
