Riding on its record-setting New Year's weekend grossing, "Meet the Fockers" held onto the first place at the North American box office over the weekend, according to preliminary weekend figures released Sunday.
The Universal and DreamWorks comedy, debuted Christmas weekend, raked in another 28.5 million US dollars, bringing its three week total to about 204 million dollars.
The film, starring Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand, is the sequel to the 2000 hit "Meet the Parents."
"White Noise," a Michael Keaton thriller produced and financed by Gold Circle, debuted in second place with 24 million dollars. Miramax and Warner Bros's "The Aviator" ranked the third spot with 7.6 million dollars in its fourth week or release.
Paramount's "Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events" grossed 7.4 million dollars to take the fourth spot and 20th Century Fox's "Fat Albert" rounded out the top five with 6 million dollars.
