font size

Chinese enterprises continue to show good momentum in growth and future prospects according to a recent survey released by the National Statistics Bureau.

A recent survey released by the National Statistics Bureau shows that in the fourth quarter of 2004, the Business Survey Index reached 134.7, the same as last quarter.

The survey also shows that the index in mining, IT and software, manufacturing, and construction are rising, while real estate, hotels and restaurants are flat.

Based on the entrepreneurs' assessment and prediction on their enterprises' general performance, the index aims to reflect the overall performance levels of firms.

The index rates businesses on a scale of 0 to 200, with higher marks indicating better performance.
