CPC senior official vows to further cooperation with Finnish parties

The Communist Party of China (CPC) will further exchanges and cooperation with Finnish friendly political parties under the principles of party-to-party relationship to promote bilateral ties to a new high, a senior official said Monday.

Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks at a meeting with a Finnish parliamentary delegation led by its director for legislation Keijo Koivukangas. The delegation is composed of secretaries-general from eight Finnish political parties and organizations.

Wang spoke highly of the sound development of Sino-Finnish ties since the two countries established diplomatic ties 55 years ago.

Keijo Koivukangas said that to enhance the friendly exchanges of the two countries, parliaments and parties is the important consensus reached by the two countries' leaders and Finland will actively promote exchanges and cooperation between its parties and the CPC in a bid to further bilateral ties.
