font size

Chinese State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan met in Beijing on January 12 with visiting Chairman of Japanese National Public Safety Commission, Murata Yoshitaka.

Tang said that 2005 is the 60th anniversary of the anti-fascist war and victory of Chinese people against Japanese invasion. He said he hoped that the two countries would make efforts to promote a stable and healthy development of China-Japan relations in a spirit of "taking history as a mirror and looking forward to the future."

The two sides also exchanged views on issues such as cooperation on earthquake prevention and disaster relief in Asia.
