Special trains take me home for festival
A staff of Beijing West Railway Station checks tickets for a train for migrant workers on January 14, 2005. The train which is leaving for Chengdu will take these workers back home for the Spring Festival, the Chinese nular new year. Beijing Railway Bureau has arranged group tickets service for 30,000 migrant workers so far as part of their special plan of transporting migrant worker during the festival.

First SARS vaccine trials a success

China was hit by an outbreak of SARS between March and July that year. A SARS vaccine could be used among high-risk groups in China in the event of a large-scale outbreak again this spring, say experts.

Li Changchun meets with Cambodian deputy PM
China is willing to make concerted efforts with Cambodia to enhance political exchanges between political parties, governments and parliaments of the two countries, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee said in Beijing Friday in his meeting with Prince Norodom Sirivudh, secretary-general of the Cambodian Funcinpec Party and Cambodian deputy prime minister.
