Death toll of soldiers in operation in Turkey rises to 2

Death toll of Turkish soldiers has risen to two in an operation launched by Turkish security forces against militants of an illegal organization in eastern Turkey, semi-official Anatolia News Agency reported on Saturday.

The report said the Turkish security forces exchanged fire with a large number of militants of the organization in Mazgirt town of Tunceli province late Friday.

Two soldiers were killed and three others injured in the armed clash in the town, said the report, adding that the injured were rushed to Elazig Military Hospital for medical treatment.

Turkish security forces are continuing the operation in pursuit of the militants in the region, according to the report.
