Pakistani Foreign Minister Khurshid M. Kasuri Monday said associating Kashmiri leaders with the Pakistan-India peace process was a must for ensuring durable peace in South Asia.

Talking to executive directors of the Kashmir Center from several European countries and the United States here on Monday, Kasuri said it was imperative to associate the Kashmiris with the peace process since that was the only way to ensure durable peace in South Asia.

The foreign minister briefed them about the composite dialogue with India and Pakistan's commitment to a meaningful dialogue process, ensuring progress on Kashmir in tandem with the Confidence Building Measures, a report of the official Associated Press of Pakistan said.

Kasuri discussed with them the latest development with regard to the peace process with India and emphasized that the resolution of Kashmir issue should be in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and acceptable to both Pakistan and India, the report said.

The Kashmiri leaders also exchanged views with Foreign MinisterKasuri on various aspects of the issue of starting the bus service between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad, the respective headquarters of India- and Pakistan-controlled Kashmir, it said

The Kashmiri leaders also called on Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz.

During the meeting, the Pakistani prime minister said he hoped the ongoing process of composite dialogue between Pakistan and India will enable the two sides to find a just, peaceful and negotiated settlement of the dispute.

The resolution on the Kashmir issue would require demonstrationof sincerity, flexibility, courage and magnanimity by all stakeholders, the prime minister said.
