Chinese top legislator meets delegation of US Committee of 100
Wu, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) of China, also spoke highly of the Committee of 100's role in supporting China's modernization drive and pushing forward the development of the relationship between the both sides of the Taiwan Straits. Wu exchanged views with the guests on Sino-US relations and the Taiwan issue and expressed hope that the Committee of 100 will make more contributions to the development of Sino-US relations. The Committee of 100 was founded in 1990 by a group of renowned Chinese Americans and serves as a bridge between the cultures and systems of Asia and America. Source: Xinhua | ||
