Four officials elected as leaders of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region

Four officials were elected as vice chairpersons of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Tuesday.

The election was made at the Third Session of the Tenth People's Congress of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, which ended Tuesday. The new chairpersons are Zhang Qingli, Qian Zhi, Song Airong (female) and Jappaar Abibla (Uygur).

Zhang Qingli, born in 1951 in Shandong Province, joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in 1973.

Qian Zhi, born in 1956 in Shandong Province, joined the CPC in 1985.

Song Airong, born in 1959 in Henan Province, joined the CPC in 1981.

Jappaar Abibla, born in 1952 in Xinjiang, joined the CPC in 1982.
