font size

Japan's ruling Liberal Democratic Party has called on its members to continue to visit the Yasukuni Shrine, despite China and some other Asian countries protesting against the visits.

The party adopting a policy platform for 2005 at its annual convention Tuesday saying party members should visit the shrine. The controversial shrine honors World War II war criminals.

The 2005 policies also feature a resolve to revise the basic education law and the postwar constitution.
