font size

The Chinese National People's Congress (NPC) would like to strengthen exchanges with the Cambodian National Assembly in fields including legislation supervision, said a senior legislator Wednesday.

He Luli, vice-chairwoman of the NPC Standing Committee, made the remark during her meeting with a delegation from the committee of economy, planning, investment, agriculture, rural development and environmental protection of the Cambodian National Assembly, led by committee president Ly Thuch.

China and Cambodia have expanded their economic and trade cooperation, and kept close contacts and cooperation between governments, parties and parliaments in recent years, she said. These contacts played an active role in promoting bilateral relations.

Moreover, she acknowledged that the NPC and the Cambodian National Assembly should learn from each other and promote the all-round cooperation between the two countries.

The Cambodian guests arrived here Monday for a seven-day China trip at the invitation of the NPC Financial and Economic Committee.
