British foreign secretary arrives in Beijing

British Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Jack Straw arrived in Beijing Thursday, starting an official visit to China.

Straw will conclude the visit and leave Beijing on Friday.

The visit is at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing.
