Vanuatuan Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sato Kilman reiterated his government's firm adherence to the one-China policy during his current visit to China, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Kong Quan Thursday.

Kilman's visit is "important and successful," Kong said at a regular press conference.

The two sides conducted "in-depth discussion on bilateral relations and promoting further development of Sino-Vanuatuan mutual-beneficial cooperation," he said.

China spoke highly of Kilman's position of sticking to the one-China policy, Kong said.

Kilman arrived here Monday evening on an official China visit from Jan. 17-24 as guest of State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan.
