China, Latin America to further enhance legislative cooperation
font size

Senior Chinese legislator Lie Tieying said Wednesday in Brasilia that China's legislature will further enhance cooperation with the Latin American Parliament when meeting with its president Ney Lopes.

During their meeting at the headquarters of the Latin American Parliament in Brazil's largest city of Sao Paulo, Li Tieying, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), said China's NPC attaches great importance to the friendly contacts with the Latin American Parliament.

Li said China's NPC signed a cooperation agreement last March with Latin American Parliament, and became an observer of the Parliament.

The two sides will work together to deepen political, economic and cultural cooperation between China and Latin American countries, he added.

China's NPC delegation arrived in Brazil on Tuesday for a goodwill visit after concluding its visit to Argentina and Uruguay.
