Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao met in Beijing on January 28 with US former Secretary of Department of Defense, William James Perry, who is here to attend the International Seminar on China-US Security Issues.
Xiong Guangkai, deputy chief of the general staff of Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA), and Zhang Yesui, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, were also present at the meeting.
On the same day, Wen also met with 35 outgoing and incoming ambassadors. Chinese Minister of Foreign Affairs Li Zhaoxing attended the meeting. The two outgoing ambassadors are Hopelong Uushona Ipinge from Namibia and Riaz Mohammad Khan from Pakistan.
The new ambassadors are Nosirdjon Yusupov from Uzbekistan, Willy C.
