China Southern Airlines flight CZ3097 took off in Guangzhou on January 29 carrying Taiwan business people eager to return home for the coming Spring Festival, or the Chinese Lunar New Year.

This is the second charter flight from the mainland to Taiwan in 56 years. The first left Beijing for Taipei minutes ago.
