German electronics giant Siemens will not continue to sponsor the Chinese Super League following a troubled maiden season.
According to the report from the Titan Sports, Siemens decided to pull out of its major sponsorship of the league in the coming season.
However, the company said that it would extend its cooperation with the national football team.
Siemens only paid the contractual minimum of some 4.0 million euro as the Chinese Super League suffered a bumpy debut with several match boycotts and drug scandals.
