The Qingdao Port has written a new legend at the beginning of the new year. By Jan 31, 2005, the Port's throughput had reached 15.38 mln tons, 17 percent higher than the same period in 2004. Container throughput had reached 510, 000, representing an increase of 30 percent as against last year.
