Sudan's First Vice President, Ali Othman Mohammed Taha, announced his government will not try Sudanese war crime suspects outside the country.
Taha says the Sudanese government is capable of carrying out justice among its people in Darfur and is committed to the international agreements and conventions it has signed.
He says he and John Garang, head of the southern Sudan People's Liberation Movement, will attend next week's UN Security Council talks on Darfur.
The talks will include the issue of 51 people responsible for human rights violations, the deployment of UN peace support forces in Darfur and economic sanctions on Sudan, such as an oil embargo.
