Ford motor company recalls "focus" car
The file photo taken on Feb 7 2001 shows a Ford "focus" car displayed at Chicago Auto Show. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration of the US announced Feb 6 that the Ford Motor Company will recall 395,000 "focus" produced between 2000 and 2002 for flaws at the rear door locks.

Carnival in Rio de Janeiro
The Queen of the Carnival, Ana Paula Evangelista sings and dances during the world famous carnival held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Feb. 6, 2005. A total of 30,000 dancers from 7 samba dance schools brought a brilliant performance to numerous native people and over 10,000 foreign tourists on Sunday. The carnival lasts five days and its formal performance, or its climax, falls on Feb. 6 and 7 this year.

Rice hopes for reviving peace process
